Sciocola Festival: Chocolate brings everyone together
October 27, 2023- We wrapped up the month of October with an invitation to take the show-cooking stage at Modena’s annual chocolate festival, an event beloved by locals that attracts guests from around Italy.
The challenge was to present a dish of our choosing- salty or sweet- with cocoa as an ingredient. We grabbed the opportunity to showcase a variation of a West African favorite- peanut strew with fufu with a sweet addition, better explained by Beauty.
“Adding chocolate to fufu gives it another flavour because chocolate is sweet and life without sweetness is not good. We cook with love.”
Our time on stage ended with a surprise, the festival awarding us this year’s Sciolcola award with the inscription: "Because everyday you celebrate diversity, creating opportunities for migrant women in Modena."
